Something happened today between lunch and dinner.
The noise level dropped , as did our occupancy. Trippers packed their gear and headed home. Golden rod and asters are in bloom. Some maple trees have already fully changed colour. There are fewer hummingbirds on the verandah. The baby loons are teenagers now and think they know everything about life.
Peace and quiet has returned to the trails and lakes.
